Mona Fortier is a successful local businesswoman with a proven record of leadership in health care, education, job creation, and francophone affairs.
She understands what it takes to create good jobs in our community, and she’ll work closely with Justin Trudeau to grow and strengthen our middle class.
Mona’s roots run deep in Ottawa–Vanier, where she is raising three children with her husband Olivier. She was born and raised here, and worked on eight campaigns with her mentor Mauril Bélanger.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) and MBA from the University of Ottawa, Mona has served on the Shaw Centre Board of Directors, the Provincial Advisory Committee on Francophone Affairs, and the Montfort Hospital Board of Directors. She was also awarded the Queen Elizabeth II – Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
